Excel is one of the most popular desktop applications ever written. In the corporate world it is often used to create and exchange critical business data.

Despite for some purposes a real database would probably more suited to manipulate such business data, many business users prefer to use a spreadsheet, as it make them more productive in their work.

This class provides general solution to manipulate spreadsheets in the Excel XML format from PHP application, providing means to integrate the work of business users with other data source types or applications that do not keep information in Excel spreadsheets.

Detailed description:

This package can be used to read and write data to Excel worksheets in the Excel XML format.

It can parse an Excel document file in the XML format and create objects to access the file workbook, worksheets, table, cells, etc..

The contents of the document may also be altered and saved to an Excel XML file or served for download.
