If you want to retrieve the contacts of an users of a Web mail system that does not have a Web services API, usually you can create a robot script that accesses the Web mail site, authenticate on behalf of that user, and scrapes the pages that list of the user contacts.

The problem is that solution may break if the Web mail site changes its content or layout.

Rapleaf is a site that provides a Web services API that, among other things, can retrieve the contacts of users of several Web mail sites.

If the Web mail sites change their pages, the Rapleaf site developers will quickly adapt their API implementation to the Web mail site page changes.

This class provides a client to use the Rapleaf Web services API to benefit from the e-mail contact list service retrieval, so PHP developers do not have to adjust their application code every time the Web mail site pages are changed.
